Alice hopped down from her seat, nodding toward her fellow bartender before looking back to the hook-less captain and smiling. She placed an arm across her middle, the other stuck out to the side as far as it would go, before she leaned forward slightly; bowing, as she usually did when offering her assistance. “As you wish, Captain Hook-less.”
It almost pained him not to roll his eyes at her statement. The bow, as out of place as it seemed, only caused the captian to wrinkle his brow- he made no comment, that seemed to be for the best.
“Clever, aren’t you?” He supplied dryly in response to her jab- there was no use arguing it and anything else he could think to say would probably only end with her not helping him.
And that was certainly something he wished to avoid.
“Wouldn’t it be wonderful-Captain Hook without a hook. Captain Hook, the hook-less pirate." Alice laughed, entirely too amused with the idea of it all. ”Captain Hook, the hook-less pirate.“ She repeated it twice more before settling back into her chair, fingers lightly tapping against the bar next to them. "I have already offered to show you exactly where it is, but I will retract my offer should you continue to threaten harm onto my family.”
The captian was hardly pleased with her jousting, the proper word to describe the look that consumed his features was quite far from pleased. "Yes, well,” he began as she had finished, “Your family faces no danger from me if you do your best to help me retrieve what is mine, and if your best is simply showing me where my appendage is, I accept that.” He rose from his stool, finding his hook to be more important than the drink he had originally came for, “Shall we then?”
“Is that so?” She asked rather coldly, clearly unamused with his last words. “Well, if you continue to threaten my family, I’m afraid your hook will be lost to you forever.”
"I do not wish harm upon your family, m'lady. The only quarrel I have with them ,or you, is the one that you are forcing upon me.” He sighed, leaning forward and placing his fore-arms upon his knees. “I do not seek people out with the intent of harm without reason. I’m simply advising you not to force my hand…” He sat up again, lifting his hand and wiggling his fingers. “I do only have one, you know.”
“Then how can you be so sure that I’m not leading you into another trap?”
“I’m not. In fact, part of me expects you to. However, you’ll find I’m quite prepared this time around. I advise you not to make an enemy of me, Alice, for you sake as well as your family’s.”
